NTHSA Annual General Meeting, Dec. 2, 2025
A private room at Boston Pizza was once again the location for a well-attended virtual and in-person meeting to discuss the business and accomplishments of the Society to date. President Lillian Beltaos outlined the year’s key milestones, a major one being the very well-received Trailer and YouTube video called Tesla Tales Across the Globe. This was a remarkable accomplishment owing to the international scope and magnitude required to produce the film, and also led to the recognition of our three Volunteers of the Year who contributed to it. An update on the MITACS project concerning the degree of exposure of Nikola Tesla in Canadian Science Textbooks was also provided. The President announced that we can look forward to our first Nikola Tesla Innovator of Alberta Award to be presented in 2026. She highlighted the importance of 2026 as it will mark our tenth anniversary and Nikola Tesla’s 170th birthday.
Following the meeting, the Board (elected by acclamation) and attendees enjoyed a social evening at the restaurant with refreshments and Christmas treats.
